Imperial Guard players — or perhaps Astra Militarum players, for anybody who wants to play along with Games Workshop’s sudden renaming decision — can now bolster their forces with the newly-released Taurox transport and Tempestus Scion models.

Also available for pre-order is Codex: Militarum Tempestus (USD $49.50, AUD $83, GBP £30.00), which allows you to field a stand-alone army from the Schola Progenium. It’s a Games Workshop exclusive, so you won’t be able to pick it up from any independent retailers (thanks, GW).

The Taurox

The Taurox kit, which can be built either as a regular Taurox for Imperial Guard Astra Militarum players or as a Taurox Prime for Militarum Tempestus players. It’s armoured at 11/10/10, has the ability to re-roll failed terrain tests, and comes with a mounted autocannon.

Upgrading to a Taurox Prime makes the vehicle Fast, improves the BS from 3 to 4, and gives you a choice of more weapons, a Taurox missile launcher (identical to a Cyclone missile launcher), a battle cannon or a gatling cannon. Both versions can carry ten models.

The Taurox can be found here, and is priced at USD $48, AUD $55, and GBP £29.00.

Tempestus Scions

Scion Platoons count as Elite choices in an Imperial Guard Astra Militarum army, with 1-3 Scion Squads and 0-1 Scion command Squads. They’re equipped with hotshot lasguns, carapace armour and all the standard options, and can Deep Strike, Move through Cover and take a Taurox transport.

Games Workshop have listed the Scions here for USD $35, AUD $45 and GBP £21.00.
