Pathfinder working with video game developer Obsidian Entertainment on secret project

Earlier today, Pathfinder developer Adam Daigle posted the following picture on Facebook — clearly showing both the Pathfinder logo and that of developer Obsidian Entertainment, who have created iconic RPGs like Neverwinter Nights 2 and Fallout: New Vegas… and then quickly removed it.

Not quick enough for the internet however. Here it is — what could it be?

Paizo’s CEO of Publishing, Lisa Stevens, issued a short statement on the Paizo forums:

All will be revealed this weekend. Well, maybe not all. :)

Press release tomorrow. More details throughout the weekend. We are talking about more than one type of game. I think you guys will be happy. :)

Btw, they are NOT taking over Pathfinder Online. Let’s squash that right now.

Someone then reminded Stevens of the time she publicly stated that if “anybody at Obsidian wants to talk to me about a CRPG based on Pathfinder, I am all ears!”, to which she cryptically responded “I guess they heard the call!”

Very interesting. Stay tuned for the full news.
