Specialist Games might be set to make a return, according to trademark filings

Speculation is mounting that Games Workshop may be set to announce a return of some of the old Specialist Games from its back catalogue, such as the much-beloved Necromunda, Battlefleet Gothic and others.

Games Workshop retired the Specialist Games brand some time ago, but a post over on Faeit 212 indicates that the company has been actively pursuing new trademarks on Battlefleet Gothic, Mordheim, Necromunda and Dreadfleet.

While it could be the company just going through the motions of protecting its IP — particularly with Mordheim for example about to be released as a computer game — it could well be something more. Stay tuned.
