Elder Sign announces Gates of Arkham expansion

A new expansion for the Elder Sign board game has been announced, bringing new investigators, new underground organisations, and — of course — new tentacled horrors to punch right in the face.

The four new investigators have been detailed by Fantasy Flight Games overnight, including a gravedigger named William Yorrick who can discard corpses to increase his dice pool, and an astronomy professor at Miskatonic University named Norman Withers. Withers can draw extra spells when he resolves Other World adventures.

Rounding out the selection are an African shaman called Akachi Oneyle who can return sanity and stamina to an investigator of her choice when an Other World card is drawn, and a violinist called Patrice Hathaway who can gain extra clues and pass them on to other investigators (“through music”, somehow).

Check out the full details of the Gates of Arkham expansion here. A release date has not yet been given.
