Watch the Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor – Martyr video game in action

Gamescom, the recent video game convention in Cologne, has handed out some new treats for us tabletop fans: a first look at the upcoming Warhammer 40,000 video game adaptation called Inquisitor – Martyr.

As you can see from the 15 minutes of footage below (courtesy of IGN) Inquisitor – Martyr takes place on an abandoned spaceship (possibly a fortress-monastery, if I’m reading the commentary accurately) and will play a lot like the classic ARPGS of yore such as Diablo (or The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, which was the previous title from developer NeoCore Games.

Unfortunately as a side effect of that it doesn’t look like Inquisitor – Martyr will really deliver the 40K role-playing experience that tabletop players of games like Dark Heresy might be expecting, but still! Take a look and see what you think.
