Third-party RPG publisher Kobold Press, who helped Wizards of the Coast with their adventure launch line for Dungeons & Dragons 5E, have just released their own sourcebook full of alternative races: Midgard Heroes.
The book contains rules for centaurs, dragonkin, gearforged, kobolds, ravenfolk, shadow fey and trollkin among others, as well as seven new backgrounds including Corsair, Darkling, Fey-Touched, Nomad and Raider.
Midgard is Kobold’s own setting, and is a beautifully realised fantasy world that I highly recommend checking out. Get more info on that here.
