Some more tidbits about the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons movie reboot have arrived, courtesy of website Collider who had an exclusive interview with the producer.

According to producer Rob Lee the movie will be “something fun, a romp” with a “Guardians of the Galaxy-tone movie in a Tolkien-like universe”.

Lee expects that the movie will (if successful) expand out to multiple movies in a larger world, but did confirm that everyone would be native Forgotten Realms residents — it won’t be people from the real world teleported through a magic portal into Faerun.
