Mantic takes sci-fi Warpath game to Kickstarter, already 600% funded

Mantic’s tradition of insanely successful Kickstarters continues with the launch of Warpath, their multi-mode 28mm  sci-fi battle game which can be used to run either warband- or army-sized encounters.

Strictly speaking Warpath is the name of the army-sized battle system, and Warpath: Firefight is the name of the smaller skirmish system (which Mantic suggest is “ideal if you are looking for an alternative to other games on the market”).

Three factions are initially planned for launch: Enforcers (space marines), Forge Fathers (space dwarves) and Veer-myn (space rats). A $50 minimum pledge gets you everything you need to play, though shipping is charged after the campaign ends so you might want to read into that more closely.

19 days remain on the Kickstarter drive, so head on over and take a look.
